837,882. Loading apparatus for root crops. OVERUMS BRUK A.B. June 27, 1956 [Sept. 22, 1955], No. 19825/56. Class 78 (1). A loading apparatus for root crops has its loading means 17 mounted on an endless conveyer 5 which is disposed transversely of the direction of movement of the loading apparatus so that, as the loading apparatus advances, crops are discharged up the inclined plane 3. As shown, frame 1 carries ramp 3 and is supported by a wheel 23 and is pulled by a tractor. The frame carries shafts 7 carrying sprockets 6 around which are trained conveyer chains carrying prongs 17 and pegs 18. The chains are driven from shaft 14 by the tractor so that, as the tractor moves forward (i.e. into the paper), the prongs 17 and pegs 18 move the crops to the left up ramp 3 on to a truck.
