Abstract
834,936. Cooling cement clinker. CEMENTIR CEMENTERIE DEL TIRRENO S.p.A. April 12, 1957 [April 20, 1956], No. 11998/57. Class 51 (2). Hot cement clinker falling from a rotary kiln 1 on to a cooling grate 6 is subjected to a jet of air from a flat nozzle 3 which carries off a stream 7 of fires through the cooling chamber 14 and a flue 15 to a dust separator 8. Material from the latter discharges through a pipe 16 into the discharge duct 9 at the end of the grate, waste gases being abstracted by a fan 10. The size of the nozzle aperture 3 is controlled by a flap valve pivoted to the top wall of said nozzle, Fig. 2 (not shown).
