Abstract

832,781. Electric timepieces. BULOVA WATCH CO. Inc. July 27, 1956, No. 23224/56. Class 139 In an electric timepiece having a tuning fork vibrator which drives the going train, both the train and the fork are mounted on a half-plate 14, Figs. 1 and 2, so that the magnetic drums 22a, 23a of the electromagnetic impulsing means are free to oscillate in the space 13a between the case back 11 and the dial plate 12. The plate 14 is recessed at 54 to receive the transistor of the maintaining circuit and, at 56 to receive the battery B which is retained by a leaf spring 57. The capacitor C is carried by a rod 53. The tine 17 carries a pawl 31, Fig. 1, which drives a ratchet 32 the spindle 33 of which carries a worm 36 which drives a gear 37 on the second spindle 38. Only one tine need carry a magnetic drum in which case the other carries a counter-weight. The spindle 33 is frictionally braked by a leaf spring 38a.
