832,780. Pressers for textile flyer spinning &c. machines. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. Sept. 30, 1957 [July 26, 1956], No. 23129/56. Class 120(2) A flyer of the kind where the thread &c. after being wrapped aroud the arm passes outwardly through the first of two holes to the outer face of a paddle and inwardly through a second hole to the point where it is transferred to the package, is of such form that, whatever the diameter of the package as it grows the region of the paddle in which the holes are situated is clear of the surface thereof. To this end, the paddle is curved as at 121, to contact the package at X, and the paddle-arm is bent to provide a substantially-horizontal portion 11 after leaving the leg at 111, which horizontal portion is again bent through a right angle so that the face of the paddle is at right angles to the part 111 immediately below the leg.
