Class 120(iii) A weft package support comprises a stem that tapers from the tip towards the base, first sharply inwards from a smooth annularly projecting wear-resisting surface and then more gradually inwards. In the embodiments illustrated the projecting surface may be constituted by a metal ring as at 10 or 22 pressed or moulded into the stem, or a protruding ridge as at 12 or 16 formed in the material of the support which may be metal, paper, wood, or moulded plastic material.
