Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0831920/IV (b)/1> and their acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts (wherein X is a halogen atom or an alkoxy or acyl group containing not more than four carbon atoms), and the preparation thereof by reacting a phenthiazine derivative of the general formula <FORM:0831920/IV (b)/2> (wherein Y is the acid residue of a reactive ester) with a piperazine derivative of the general formula <FORM:0831920/IV (b)/3> Other general methods for preparing the products are described in detail.
