Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0872997/IV (b)/1> (wherein R represents a hydrocarbon radical which may be substituted, R1 a C1-C5 alkyl group or a halogen atom (preferably in position 4 or 5), B a C1-C6 alkylene group, and R2 a dialkylamino group in which each alkyl group contains up to 4 carbon atoms, or a morpholino, piperidino or pyrrolidino group) and their acid addition salts, and the preparation thereof by interaction of compounds of the general formulae <FORM:0872997/IV (b)/2> and YR2 (wherein either X represents a -B-halogen group and Y a hydrogen atom, or X represents a hydrogen or sodium atom and Y a halogen -B- group), followed, if desired, by reaction of the resulting amine with an acid. The products possess psychopharmacological activity and are also useful as local anaesthetitcs, analgesics and antihistamins.
