830,421. Paper bags ; closing bags. DAY & SONS Ltd., J. Oct. 9, 1957 [Jan. 30, 1957], No. 3291/57. Classes 94(1) and 94(2). A double-walled rectangular bag comprises a thin inner wall 1 and a thicker outer wall 2, the inner wall projecting beyond the outer wall 2 to form marginal edges 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d such that when the side 2a is' folded inwardly to cover the mouth of a filled bag, the projecting edges 1a, 1b and 1d are bent around the edges of the corresponding outer wall portions to provide an effective seal when the closure is completed. The closure is completed by folding the sides 2d and 2b over the top of the bag to leave a triangular ear 2c which is finally folded down on top of the bag and attached by a label. Both ends of the bag may be sealed in this manner.
