Abstract

853,925. Opening bags or packages. ROBINSON Ltd., E. S. & A. Jan. 22, 1957 [Jan. 31, 1956], No. 3075/56. Classes 94(1) and 94(2). A bag or wrapper formed wholly or partially of flexible film material has a tear strip 4 secured to its inner surface, the end of the strip protruding into a cut-out portion 3 to facilitate gripping and two slits 6 being provided in the bag &c., one on either side of the tear-strip. The cut-out 3 may be in the turned over bottom margin of a bag. Alternatively, the cutout may be in the form of an aperture in the bag wall, the tape being arranged to tear only part of the wall.
