Abstract

936,692. Paper and like bags. L. J. BLOCH. March 15, 1962 [June 5, 1961], No. 20302/61. Class 94(2). After the upper portion of a flat flexible bag has been torn away along line of weakness 6 the lips of the bag can be pulled apart by tags 11, and may subsequently be reclosed by pulling on stiff ties 10, and then twisting these to seal the bag. The bag, before opening, is sealed around its entire periphery, and is preferably formed by transverse welds 2, 3 across a tube of heat sealable plastics material. The ties 10 may consist of wires 8 secured in place by adhesive strips 9 which also pass over the tags 11 which are preferably of the same material as the bag. The bag may be used as a sterile container for samples of milk.
