830,199. Carding engine doffing combs. CLAYTON, J. H. Sept. 23, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 32103/57. Class 120(1) A carding engine doffing comb is oscillated by U-shaped lever 11 mounted on the comb shaft 10 and recessed to receive a block 15 also mounted on the shaft 10 and arranged for movement to clamp the lever 11 to the shaft 10. Movement into clamping position is preferably by a nut 18 and screwed stud 16. It is stated that such wear as would ensue would be arcuate and not prevent fine adjustments.
