Abstract

The position of needles in the pressing direction is determined during the draw period by a control arm 17 bearing as the end of the usual truck arm 11 and slightly displacing the truck arm. To maintain uniformity of length of blanks produced as a multidivision machine adjustable means are provided to enable the displacement of the arm 11 by control arm 17 to be varied in each division. Such means may comprise an adjustable screw 21 to adjust a pivoted lever on the arm 17 which abuts a block 18 on the end of the truck arm 11. Alternatively the block 18 may be mounted on an eccentric sleeve which is rotatable to vary the position of the block in relation to the control arm.
