Abstract
197,918. Nouvelle Soc. de Coustruction, ci-devant N. Schlumberger et Cie. May 22, 1922, [Convention date]. Combing-machines.-The framework of a combing-machine of the Heilmann or like type is divided into two portions hinged together at a point below the axial lever of the comb cylinder so that the upper portion 2, carrying the feed devices and the nipper 5, can be turned back to expose the comb 4 when it is desired to repair or replace the needle segments. The upper portion 2 is hinged at 3 to the lower portion 1 and can be turned back until a stop 10 abuts against a shoulder-piece 11. The two portions are secured in the working position by bolts 8.
