Abstract

Combing-machines.- The leathers of a Noble combing - machine are traversed by a device comprising a cylindrical cam 3, Fig. 1, mounted on a vertical axis 9 driven through a sun and planet gearing or other reduction gearing. The groove 4 in the cam is engaged by a stud 7 on a cylinder 2 depending from a base plate 1 which carries the guides for the leathers. The device forms a self-contained unit which can be secured to the framework of the machine.
