Openers, cleaners, &c.-In a machine .for opening or teasing hair, wool, &c. the toothed lags a of the cylinder are held in end plates or rims c so as to be slidable in a circumferential direction. The lags are connected together or to fixed stays e by springs f. The springs may be anchored to the rims, and a cover plate g attached to the lag may be used to protect them from dust &c.
