Abstract

183,989. Heppenstall, F. June 18, 1921. Openers &c.-In a machine for breaking-up rags &c. the teeth A are made to project through the lag B secured to the cylinder, and can be adjusted collectively for wear. A strip C is secured to the lag by bolts D, and the heads of the teeth abut against this strip. Distance-pieces E surround the bolts, and can be exchanged for shorter ones when it is desirea to adjust the teeth. The strips may be recessed to receive the heads of the teeth. Round, pointed, or flat teeth may be used.
