A swimming bath 1 is provided with means for periodically sucking off sediment from its bottom, comprising a flexible tube (not shown) with a nozzle at one end, a collection pipe 4, 5 extending horizontally around the bath with fittings closed by caps 6 and 7 when not in use and each adapted to receive the other end of the tube, and a discharge pipe 8 having a water seal formed by a container 10 at its lower end. Holes 16 in a container 9 surrounding the seal are stated to maintain a constant water flow to the drain 3 under all conditions of use.
