Abstract

856,948. Cooling liquids. BLOW Ltd., J. J. March 17, 1959 [March 17, 1958], No. 8534/58. Classes 29 and 64(3) A portable cooler head 1 adapted to fit over the open end of a milk can 5 or like container, includes a water-cooled tube assembly 26, 30 immersed in the milk and forming part of a rotor unit rotated by the water pressure, the cooler head being adapted to support a strainer 7 or like receptacle from which e.g. through a flexible pipe 10, milk is discharged into the can in the part of the rotor tubes so that the milk is cooled. In the form shown the rotor is rotated by means of jet tubes 32 extending therefrom, the water from the jets ultimately passing through openings 34 and over the outside surface of the can 5.
