Abstract

827,866. Conductors. TELEGRAPH CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE CO. Ltd. July 17, 1957 [July 27, 1956], No. 23339/56. Class 36. In a high-frequency coaxial cable with an outer conductor having a lower conductivity than copper, the central conductor is of composite construction and combines a conductivity at least equal to that of copper with a coefficient of expansion substantially equal to that of the outer conductor. The inner conductor may comprise a core of the same metal as the outer conductor (e.g. aluminium) which is enclosed in a metal layer of good conductivity (e.g. copper, silver or silver-coated copper).
