Abstract

824,845. Liquid meters. HEFA, NARODNI PODNIK. Jan. 20, 1956 [Jan. 21, 1955], No. 2013/56. Class 69 (2). A petrol discharge post comprises a liquid flow meter 1 in combination with a separator 2 for gases and vapours, which is directly mounted on the meter casing to form a single structural unit and from which the liquid enters the meter through an opening in its base, a vent valve 14 operated by a float 3 being arranged in the separator lid. The float is suspended from a yoke 13 pivoted to the end of a stud 18 on the separator casing, the weight of the float being counterbalanced by a spring 15 adjustable in tension by nut 16. The liquid flows in at the base of the meter casing and through a passage 5 therein and passage 6 in the separator casing to the separator chamber 8, and through the meter 1 as indicated by the arrows, then past a sight glass 10 and out through a passage not shown. A shaft 12 couples the mechanism of the piston type meter to an indicator 20.
