Abstract
811,830. Liquid meters; gas meters. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A. GAZ. Sept. 16, 1957 [Nov. 21, 1956], No. 29117/57. Classes 54 and 69 (1). A support plate for the composite mechanism of fluid meters wherein the totalizing mechanism 3 is not immersed in a fluid comprises a metal plate 9 covered by a transparent plastic sub. stance at the top and bottom and formed with one or more apertures. The meter may be calibrated by observation of a moving member thereof through an aperture 15. The plastic covering may be formed as a single part 8 (Fig. 1) or in two parts 8, 16 (Fig. 3). The periphery of the metal plate may project beyond the plastic covering 8 and be clamped between the members 1, 2 of the outer casing of the fluid meter (Fig. 1). Alternatively, the parts ]6, 8 (Fig. 3), may be clamped between the members 1, 2 simultaneously with the plate 9. The plastic filling the aperture 15 may be formed as an optical system to assist observation.
