Abstract

694,888. Rotary meters. KENT, Ltd., G. Jan. 25, 1952 [Feb. 1, 1951], No. 2570/51. Class 110(ii) A liquid meter having its registering mechanism 5 submerged in liquid is provided with a dial of transparent material 9 above the indicating pointers 8, the top surface of the dial being sealed from the liquid. The dial is made of transparent plastic material or glass. The meter has inlet and outlet ports 2, 21, a strainer 3 and rotary piston 4 which actuates the counter-mechanism 5. A top plate 7 supports the gear spindles and pointers. The dial 9 is engraved on its upper surface. A sealing plate 10, of glass is provided. In a modification the plates 9 and 10 are integral and the dial 9 is engraved on its underside.
