Abstract

A corrosion resistant alloy steel has a composition within the following range in per cent by weight: C 0.03-1.0, As 0.02-0.5, Mo 0.05-0.8, Sn 0.04-0.25, Mn 0.25-1.5, Fe the balance. The alloy may also contain one or more of the following elements: Sb 0.02-0.5, Al up to 0.2, P 0.005-0.15, Si up to 0.5, S up to 0.05.
