Abstract

816,598. Supplying gas to burners. LOOS & CO'S FABRIEKEN N.V., G. L. Jan. 20, 1958, No. 1920/58. Class 75(1) [Also in Group XXI] In a device for arresting "back-fire" in inflammable fluids comprising a casing containing an axially supported tubular body 2 of sintered metal which is surrounded by a cylindrical part 1 of the casing and itself surrounds another cylindrical part 7 of the easing so that the fluid is constrained to pass through the sintered metal, the tubular body 2 is internally and externally provided with longitudinal ribs 8, 9 which engage with the adjacent cylindrical parts 1, 7 of the casing. The internal ribs 8 are staggered relative to the external ribs 9. The sintered body 2 is clamped between two parts 5, 6 of the casing. The cylindrical part 7 screws into the part 5 and has openings 11.
