Improvements in inflators of the type of flame characterized by being especially aimed at the inflammation of a jet engine for aviation and for comprising a generally cylindrical body provided with a flame exit opening at its front end and provided with an annular passage of reduced radial dimension which extends longitudinally through it; means for introducing oxygen-containing gas under pressure into said passage to form an annular stream of gas flowing into said opening; means for injecting a fluid fuel into the annular gas stream of said passage to form a fuel mixture and means for creating a spark in order to ignite said mixture.
