Class 44 An electrical component is secured upon a panel by a snap-mounting clip formed from a blank of generally cruciform shape wherein two of the arms of the blank are deformed to provide a resilient tubular socket and the other two arms of the blank are deformed to provide a spring. clip. As shown, the clip is pressed up from the blank shown in Fig. 1 to provide a cylindrical socket portion 21 and a clip portion comprising strips 14 and 15. The main body portion 13 of the clip is provided with an aperture 18 through which a component 26 to be mounted on a plate 24, is threaded, the component being gripped by the strips 14 and 15 which themselves are engaged by the edges of a slot 25 provided in the mounting plate. Solder tags 16 and 17 are cut out from the strips 14 and 15.
