812,763. Plate racks. PARKINSON COWAN Ltd., [formerly PARKINSON & COWAN Ltd.]. Sept. 19, 1957 [June 20, 1956; Sept. 15, 1956; Nov. 6, 1956], Nos. 19053/56, 28281/56 and 33812/56. Class 126 A plate rack for a gas stove has a raised, forwardly projecting perforated ledge, 22, Fig. 1, formed by a fold in a pressing 23. The pressing is extended upwardly above the ledge to form a splash plate 24. A wire loop 26 on the splash plate 24 and a vertical wall 25 welded to the front edge of the ledge retain the plates on the ledge. A flue 27 behind the pressing 23 receives the hot air and gases from the oven and leads them through a forwardly facing opening 28 into the rear of the ledge. Further modifications describe an extended wall 25 and a baffle fitted over the grilling burner to direct the heat therefrom to the plate rack. In Fig. 4 the plates are supported on a horizontal grid 41 at the bottom of a chamber formed by a splash plate 42 and front wall 43 parallel thereto. Hot air and gases from the oven pass through a flue 44 and openings 45 in the lower part of the splash plate and upwardly through the grid. Hot air and gases from a grilling burner 46 are also led though the grid and are controlled by baffles 47, 48.
