Abstract
A nickel and/or cobalt-base alloy, welded joints of which are resistant to corrosion by, for example, fuming nitric acid, has the following composition in percentages by weight: W 40.5 to 45; Fe 0 to 5; C 0 to 0.2. Ni and/or Co the balance. A heat treatment described, consists of heating to 1250 DEG C. for 20 minutes, air cooling, welding, heating to 815 DEG C. for 2 or 24 hours and then air cooling.
