Class 126 In a portable oil-burning heater with an opening in the front of the casing for the radiation of heat after reflection, a reflector of curved cross section rises vertically to well above the burner and then slopes forwardly to the upper side of a gas outlet in the front of the casing above the opening. A vaporizing burner 16 mounted in the front compartment of casing 10 is fed from a tank 14 in the rear compartment. A reflector 22 with a lower part of curved cross section extends vertically to well above the level of the burner 16, and the upper part 26 of the reflector slopes forwardly to meet the front wall of the casing above a gras outlet 28. A door with a grille covers the front opening, and a wire dome over the burner forms a radiant. The reflector is spaced from the top of the casing so that the casing does not get unduly hot.
