Abstract

851,272. Oil burning heaters. SANKEY & SONS Ltd., J. June 26, 1959 [April 8, 1958], No. 10940/58. Class 126. In a gravity feed oil heater with a reflector 20 through which a burner unit 17 projects, the burner is shielded from excessive draught by an imperforate screen 25 which is mounted on the base 22 of the heater casing and surrounds the burner unit below the reflector 20, a combustion air inlet 26 being left between the front edge of the base 22 and the screen 25, but the part of the base within the screen being imperforate. A double-walled partition 11 insulates the tank compartment from the burner compartment and both compartments and the air space within the partition 11 are supplied with cooling air through apertures 21 in the base 22.
