Class 52(5) A curtain support comprises a rod 1 and a pair of brackets, one of the brackets having a loop 6 into which the rod is insertable only endwise, the other bracket having a hook 10 into which the other end of the rod can be dropped, and the rod having a reduced portion 2 at one end to engage the hook and prevent endwise movement of the rod. The brackets are drilled for mounting on a horizontal or on a vertical surface and have parts 3, 3x of different lengths so that the drawn curtains are overlapped. In modifications more than two brackets are associated with each rod, the cross-section of the rods is other than circular, and the reduced part other than the annular recess 2.
