808,780. Fluid pressure brakes. VERWALTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT DER WERKZEUG-MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. July 9, 1956 [July 9, 1955], No. 21150/56. Class 103 (1). In a control valve for compressed-air brakes of the type in which a vent valve 9 is adapted to be opened to provide an accelerated reduction of the pressure in the brake pipe by such local release of air to atmosphere by abutment of its spindle 8 with the end of a rocker 5 pivoted at 6 on a guide bush or sleeve 4, the member 4, in its movement towards its rest position, is adapted to reach an intermediate position, such that if a pressure drop in the brake pipe takes place at that time, the piston 3 effects an opening of the valve 9. As shown in Fig. 2, in such " intermediate position " a milled recess 45 on the upper end of lever 5 produces an abutment face with the stem 8 of valve 9 at a point below its extremity which is in juxtaposition with the stem 8 when the sleeve 4 is in its rest position.
