808,321. Lawn mowers. WEBB & CO. Ltd., H. C., and TAYLOR, F. W. Jan. 25, 1957 [Feb. 11, 1956], No. 4358/56. Class 6(2). [Also in Groups XXIII, XXVI and XXXI] An I.C. engine 1 is mounted on inverted channel section bearers 9 adapted to be slidably received in parallel channel shaped guides 13 secured to the side plates 14 of a lawn-mower, and the power unit including a fuel tank 2, carburettor, cord starter 4 and clutch 5 can be removed as a unit and used for driving, e.g. a roller, rotary cultivator, or saw-bench. Pins 20 passing through holes 21 in the bearers 9 are screwed into holes (not shown) in the guides 13. A drive pinion 10 on the engine output shaft 6 is adapted to pass through an opening 19 in one of the side-plates 14 to engage a toothed annulus 18 which is connected by a chain or gear transmission to rollers 15 and a cutting cylinder 16. A locating and counter-torque resisting peg 22 on one of the side plates 14 is adapted to be received in an aperture 23 in part of a bracket 8 which supports the shaft 6.
