Class 59 [Also in Group XXIX] In a roller-and-ring mill having one or more rollers 3 bearing against the grinding face 2 of a bowl 1 and rockably mounted on the mill housing 12 by means of swing shafts as described in the parent Specification, which is referred to, each roller shaft 4 is mounted in a hub-like body 6 having diametrically-opposite pistons 7, 8 disposed in cylinders 9, 10 of a guide casing 11 secured to the mill housing, hydraulic pressure fluid being supplied through pipes 16, 17. The piston 7 is provided with a spring- loaded supplementary piston 13, and the piston 8 with a fixed guide piston 15. The bowl 1 is provided with pivotally-mounted thrower blades 5.
