Abstract

804,630. Bungs for barrels. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. April 25, 1957 [Oct. 15, 1956], No. 13193/57. Class 125(3). A hollow bung 2 of elastomeric material such as polythene has a top section 3 and a relatively thin skirt 4 terminating in a bevelled lip 5 and locking lobes 6 which engage the barrel bushing 8 by means of a flat surface 9 and are arcuate in a plane normal to the longitudinal axis of the bung. Sealing rings 12, 13 are also provided and the interior of the bung has a reinforcing ring 14.
