Abstract

793,163. Crown closures. VETRI INDUSTRIALI SOC. ar.l. Sept. 7, 1955 [Sept. 7, 1954], No. 25662/55. Class 125(3). A container closure consists of a non-metallic inner cap 2 with a skirt 20 of a resilient material such as polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride and an outer metallic cap 1, the edge of which is clamped under the bead of the container mouth. The cap 1 has a tear-off tongue 7 and the skirt may have a beaded edge 110. The closure is applied by convential tools.
