Class 100(2) In a rotary proof-printing press including a printing and an impression cylinder 2, 1, respectively, and inking-apparatus, means for lining-up or registering a stereo plate or plates on the cylinder 2, to register it or them with markings on the cylinder 1 or a master sheet clamped thereon, comprises one or more cursors, such as 10, 11, adjustably mounted on across bar 9. The cursors 10, 11, which may be of plastic transparent material, are arranged to contact both cylinders, and have cross markings 12, 13 engraved thereon. A ruled or marked master sheet is secured on the impression cylinder 1 by the usual grippers, the cylinders are rotated until the appropriate horizontal ruled line on the master sheet registers with the engraved lines 12 on the cursors, and the cursors are then moved transversely, until the vertical lines 13 register with the appropriate vertical ruled line on the master sheet.
