Class 100 (2) A printing machine includes a plate cylinder marked with at least two pairs of cross lines 1, 2, and a printing plate 3 for clamping to the cylinder having apertures 4, 5, with peripheral markings 6, 7, adapted when aligned with the cross line 1, 2, on the cylinder to align the plate correctly before clamping. The apparatus may be used to facilitate the registration of multicolour printing plates.
