Abstract

797,780. Turbines. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.- GES. June 20, 1956 [June 21, 1955], No. 19152/56. Class 110 (3). An exhaust radial flow gas turbine applied with working fluid by two parallel ducts arranged in a plane perpendicular to the turbine axis and symmetrically in relation to a plane containing this axis and having one half of the ring of inlet blades allotted to each duct so that the exhaust gases flow to the blades with opposite directions of rotation has the guide blades formed with a constant outlet angle and the inlet angles in each half approximately equal but reversed in relation to the radii on which the blades lie. Two parallel exhaust gas supply ducts 4, 5, located in a plane perpendicular to the turbine axis, feed gases to the guide blades 8, 9 in opposite directions of rotation. The blades 8 are of conventional form with an inlet angle α and an outlet angle α2. The blades 9 have the same outlet angle a2, but an inlet angle all which is equal to α1 but is reversed in mirror-image manner to the radial line of which the blade lies.
