797,764. Air-assisted gravity conveyers. DURAMIN ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and OGLETHORPE, E. L. Sept. 6, 1956 [Sept. 6, 1955], No. 25517/55. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). A sweep 17 (Fig. 1), removes the final residue of material from a slide of the type in which air is passed through a porous floor 10 to assist the flow of material under gravity. As illustrated, three side-by-side slides 10 (Fig. 2), forming the floor of a vehicle deliver material to a delivery aperture 29 and are swept by sweeps 17 carried by a structure 16 which is guided by rollers 20 running on the walls 21 of the slides and which is driven by a pair of chains 11 driven from sprockets 13 through a chain 22 from a crank 24. Each sweep 17 terminates at its lower end in a felt pad 18. The forward ends 19 (Fig. 1) of the slides are rounded to ensure that the sweeps 17 sweep the whole surface of the slides. The chains 11 may be driven by power.
