Abstract

625,183. Endless-chain conveyers. TRIGGS, W. W. (Webb Co., J. B.). Feb. 24, 1947, No. 5344. [Class 78 (i)] In a conveyer for sand, gravel, small parts &c. of the kind comprising a series of pans which are overlapped at their adjacent edges to form a trough, the tubular members 17, Fig. 2, connecting the pans to the driving chains 11, Fig. 1, are inserted longitudinally into the curved rear ends 19, Fig. 3, of the pan bottoms 18. A part 24 of the side wall 21 of each pan is cut away to receive the forward end of the adjacent pan. Each part 24 is overlapped by the side wall of the next pan. The tubes 17 are engaged by pins 16 projecting from the chains 11. These chains are supported by rotatably mounted flanged rollers 10 carried by shafts 13.
