Abstract

636,111. Conveyers. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd., and ORWIN, O. J. B. June 3, 1946, No. 16745. [Class 78 (i)] Two endless belt conveyer units each of the type claimed in Specification 586,343 are secured together in transverse crossing relationship by a sheet metal transfer unit ; which transfer unit is detachably secured between the two conveyer units and comprises means for spacing apart the two belts where they cross and means for deflecting goods from one belt to the other. Belt supports 69, 70 are spaced apart and secured together by bolts through flanges 73, 74 so that the top runs of the conveyers as they cross are separated and supported ; supports 79, 77 likewise support and separate the lower runs ; and these two structures are themselves spaced apart by comer pieces 75. Deflector 85 sweeps goods off one conveyer top run 12a on to the other top run 12b.
