Abstract
683,554. Manure-spreaders. MUSGROVE, F. E. May 19 1950, No. 12585/50. Class 6(i) [Also in Group XXX] A distributing device, for powdered material in a truck, comprises two worm conveyers 11 extending transversely across the truck-floor 1, and feeding material to a central chain-elevator 5 running in a shoot 5a, which carries the material up to a position above a rotary distributing disc 4. The disc 4 is partially surrounded by a screen 4a and may be replaced by air-blast nozzles or endless belts (not shown). The whole device, which is driven by a motor 3, rests on skids 8 and is advanced along the truck, as the latter empties, by a winch 10 and cable 9 driven from the truckwheels, through the ratchet-mechanism described in Specification 675,619, [Group XXX].
