Abstract

645,910. Manure distributers. BURRELL, A. J. May 15, 1948, 13361. [Class 6(i)] A distributer. for granular material camprises a hopper 1 having an endless conveyer 13 pivoted at one upper edge and engaging the top surface of the hopper contents so as to urge the material over that edge on to a distributer 25, the conveyer being mounted on a counterweighted frame 9 so that it can sink gradually as the level of material falls. The hopper is sector-shaped in vertical cross-section and is mounted on wheels 4 from which chaindrives 6, 26 are taken to the conveyer and the rotary distributer. The conveyer comprises a pair of endless chains interconnected by slats 14 or tine-bars. The material falls on to an inclined shoot 6 from which it falls to the distributer which comprises either rotary vanes, as shown, or a reciprocating tray. The conveyer, distributer and wheels may be power-driven, either by a separate motor or through a take-off shaft.
