A granular material e.g. grit, sand or salt distributing vehicle comprises a hopper 11, an endless belt conveyer 12, a transverse conveyer 25, and two oppositely rotating centrifugal discs 21. Independent hand operated, vertically slidable gates 13 regulate the flow of material to the discs. The transverse conveyer comprises a vibratory shoot, but may alternatively comprise two transversely mounted endless belts, or two Archimedean screws. The discs may be hydraulically operated.
