Abstract

796,924. Rotary pumps. ETABLISSEMENTS BEAUDOUIN SOC. A, R.L. March 17, 1955 [March 23, 1954], No. 7806/55. Class 110 (2). In a rotary vacuum pump the shaft 1 is provided with at least one cavity 2 which alternately registers with a reservoir 4 and a passage 5. The passage 5 communicates with the pumping chamber at a point below the valve and registers with the cavity 2 at the moment when the pressure in the pumping chamber is lower than atmospheric pressure. The number of cavities in the shaft may be equal to the number of the vanes of the rotor.
