Abstract

794,520. Rotary printing machines TIMSONS, Ltd., TIMSON, E. A.. and DICKINSON, C. H. July 5, 1956 [July 6, 1955], No. 19531/55. Class 100(2) A rotary printing machine comprises at least two printing stations, each station comprising a printing cylinder co-operating with an impression cylinder, a support 2 along which individual sheets S are fed forward from a sheet feeding device to the lowermost impression cylinder 1, and sheet delivery mechanism which includes grippers which take a sheet from the highest impression cylinder 7, the arrangement being such that after each sheet in turn has been printed upon it is caused to move in an upward direction towards the delivery mechanism. The sheets are fed from the support 2 by rotating grippers 4 to the grippers 5 of the cylinder 1 which co-operates with a printing cylinder 6. The sheet, after printing, is passed upwardly to the grippers 8 of the cylinder 7 which co-operates with a printing cylinder 9. The sheet is then transferred upwardly to the grippers 11<SP>1</SP> of an endless chain delivery device 10.
