Abstract

A sheet delivery apparatus for use with a sheet-processing machine comprises a sheet delivery station, a conveyor (1) displaceable along an arcuate path portion (1.1) in the region of the sheet delivery station, means defining an arcuate sheet gripper carriage path portion (16) concentric with the arcuate conveyor path portion (1.1), a plurality of sheet gripper carriages (5) displaceable along the arcuate sheet gripper carriage path portion, and a plurality of coupling means such as rods (2) each coupling a respective sheet gripper carriage (5) to a respective portion of the conveyor for displacement of the sheet gripper carriages (5) on advancement of the conveyor (1). Said conveyor portions are at a spacing from one another which is equal to the length of the arcuate conveyor path portion (1.1). The gripper carriages are retarded before entering the arcuate portion of their path and accelerated before leaving it. <IMAGE>
