Abstract

An alloy having good mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion in corrosive atmospheres at high temperatures has a composition within the following ranges expressed in atoms per cent. Co 30-45; Ni 20-35; Cr 15-30; @ 1-7; Ti 3-9; C 0.1-2; B 0.005-0.6; Mo 0-5; Ta 0-5; Nb 0-3; Fe 0-5. The contents of 0 and N are preferably not over 0.002 and 0.0005 per cent by weight respectively. The alloy may be solution treated at 2150 DEG F. and aged at 1650 DEG F. or higher, e.g. 1700 DEG F.
