788,912. Supports for arch centering. TICKNER, A. (Altet, V. R.). April 15, 1954 [Feb. 24, 1953], No. 5205/53. Class 20(2) A support for centering for arches &c. comprises a base 1 fixed to a foundation on which is vertically adjustable by means of four bolts 6 a saddle 7 to which one end of the centering is pivoted by means of an aperture 14. In a modified support the centering is pivoted by means of an aperture 23, Fig. 4, to a lever 20 pivoted at 21 to upstanding supports 18 on a base composed of channel members 15 back to back and mounted on rails 32 by rollers 33 and having rollers 35 engaging a rail 34 to take the thrust of the centering. The pivot 23 is vertically adjustable by turning the lever 20 by means of a bolt 28. Specifications 742,855, 788,911 and 788,913 are referred to.
